Why Ben is Doing This

Ben is a human-adjacent entity of disputed provenance. According to historical accounts, his origin can be traced to the lunar megastructure theory, which posits that the Moon is not a celestial body but rather an elaborate and decaying piece of cosmic infrastructure. In this telling, Ben himself was once a shard of that megastructure, unceremoniously dislodged and flung toward Earth. After a brief but catastrophic atmospheric entry, he allegedly affixed himself to a Midwestern corn husk, where he was discovered by unsuspecting locals (Tony, Claudia, etc.) who would later claim him as their son.
